The City of Cartagena, through the Municipal Institute of Social Service, has provided 4,000 euros for the project 'Haima' in the barrios of Los Mateo and Santa Lucia.
The councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderon, has delivered the check to the financial contribution to the school AMPA President Aníbal de Los Mateos and CEO Welcomes Cartagena Murcia.
The objective of this agreement is to provide newly arrived immigrant women in the neighborhood host a classroom where you go along the path of integration, initially providing knowledge of the language and customs of the host society, to support their efforts to achieve their greater social integration and employment.
This will have the coordination of all resources involved in social intervention in the area.
Associations under this agreement have, among its objectives, working with the immigrant population in the municipality of Cartagena, as since 2006 been carrying out Haima Project jointly in the district of Los Mateo and Santa Lucia.
This agreement arises from the collaboration between the Municipal Social Services City of Cartagena and nonprofit institutions existing in this county, in order to support social action programs to the immigrant population and act a coordinated manner on a common goal, setting priorities in certain districts where a large number of immigrant families living after the reunification process.
