The Ministry of Education, Training and Employment will implement new specialties instrumental in the Conservatory of Music of the Region for the next academic year 2009-2010.
The most significant development is the teaching of the specialties of Flamenco Cante Flamenco guitar and at the Conservatory of Cartagena, as well joined the Conservatory of Córdoba and Murcia, as the only ones who offer these specialties in Spain.
The reasons for their implementation passes the important contributions of the Region of Murcia, in particular the Campo de Cartagena, the art of flamenco.
Among other developments, is the expansion of the specialty of singing at the Conservatory of Music of Lorca, which currently only offered in the Cartagena and Murcia.
Symphony specialties will be completed at the conservatories of municipal management, which will facilitate its study and improving the quality of education in the subjects of band, orchestra and chamber music.
Specialties are taught Bassoon, Oboe and Horn in the Conservatory of Music in Cieza and Caravaca de la Cruz, and Tuba in San Javier.
It has established a special period for submitting applications for admission to these specialties, ranging from 10 to 24 June and the dates for conducting the entrance exams to be held between 26 and 30 June.
Those interested should submit the application, which is publicly available in the respective academies, in the secretary's office where they wish to study.
To be able to follow the new specialties is necessary to pass an entrance exam consisting of two parts.
In the first, the applicant will perform two or three musical compositions, depending on the specialty of choice, and a second part in which knowledge is valued primarily for Music Theory.
