The Local Government of the City Council has approved a new call for assistance to Erasmus students registered in the municipality of Cartagena, as explained by the council in the area of Public Safety, Tourism, Youth and Employment, Javier Herrero, this year presents novelty of including students in vocational education.
As pointed out by Herrero, so far were mainly university students who went abroad to study with these scholarships, but more and more students have joined the FP, which has led the council to include in its aid program.
In this call the City awarded 40 grants of 350 euros for the Erasmus University and 30 150 euros, for FP.
Will be the third year that the Department of Youth through the Youth Space, made this call for aid, which will benefit the university and VET students living in the city of Cartagena which have been recipients of a scholarship during the Erasmus University 2009.
As you may recall the Erasmus Program is a program management for various government which supports and facilitates the academic mobility of university students from member states of the European Union, and the three European Economic Area countries and Turkey and facilitates the completion of internships in companies in these same countries to vocational students.
College students in the Erasmus pursue their studies for a period of three months to a year in other European countries, while those of FP practices performed during one to three months.
