The XXXVIII International Film Festival Cartagena Film (FICC) is underway and this has opened the deadline for submission of short films in any of its two sections: short films and MurCine.

The first category is the section devoted to domestic and foreign filmmakers with the chance to win $ 3,000 short who wins.

MurCine, meanwhile, is a category created specifically to encourage cinema made by directors Murcia.

Selected short films will be screened at the Festival in a special session and will be eligible for prizes MURcine, endowed with 1,500 euros (Carabela de Plata) and 500 euros (Submarino Peral).

Those interested in presenting their work to the FICC will have until September 12, 2009 to participate in one of two categories.
