As part of the celebration of International Football Congress VI and VII International Football Tournament Alevín F7, Councilman of Sports City of Cartagena, Alonso Gómez, has introduced two initiatives directly related to the children and their rights.
The first of these actions is the implementation together with UNICEF in the exhibition "Sport for Development ', an exhibition of 23 photographs, each with its own explanation, which can be seen from 1 to 6 June at the Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy, for which has also involved the collaboration of the Department of Culture.
The exhibition has the support of the organizers of the Congress, through input symbols, and also UNICEF also promoted in all marketing support for its conclusion, highlighted Alonso Gómez.
The exhibition will feature images through the stories of children in developing countries (Sudan, Iraq, sub-Saharan area, etc.), Which have suffered the consequences of disasters like a tsunami, and how sport can be a way exhaust and how to normalize their lives.
According to the UNICEF representative in Cartagena, Francisco Alcaraz, sport is a cornerstone in the education and development of children, not only by the positive impact it poses to health, but also because it teaches values, brings people and a screen that protects them from crime or drugs.
Another initiative that supports the Department of Sports and was presented today is the release of a basic manual of Football, developed by technicians of the Cartagena football team after seven years of work coordinated by Juan Exposito, in which is, on the one hand, how did the selection, and secondly, provides guidance for clubs and the soccer schools, which includes objectives and contents of each of the categories, plus sections on psychology, first aid, and Above all, 'fair play'.
In the first edition of 500 copies have been prepared to be transferred to the soccer clubs of the city and distributed building the International Congress of Football, selling copies at the symbolic price of 10 euros, so that part of the proceeds will benefit UNICEF.
