The Municipal Institute of Coastal Services is reinforced for the summer and increase the number of workers who are responsible for maintaining and cleaning of beaches, promenades and green spaces in the two coastal areas of the municipality of Cartagena.
It has secured its general director, Gabriel Ruiz, who has announced that this strengthening will occur in two phases.
The first will take place on Monday, May 18, will come into service a new contract that will double the number of operators, from the current eight to 16.
This addition will greatly improve maintenance work throughout the year takes place in both the Mar Menor area, as in the area of El Portus, Isla Plana and La Azohía, according to Ruiz.
In fact, these 16 will be from now on to perform this work continuously.
The second stage booster, and for the beginning of the summer season will take place on June 15 that will join five other workers and a significant amount of mechanical means, which will be presented to the media.
The Municipal Institute of Coastal Services was created during this term as an autonomous agency of the City Council to improve the quality of beaches and coastal services in the municipality.
Currently has two seats, from which are coordinated throughout the year, maintenance work, one in La Manga and another in Isla Plana.
