This morning has taken place awards contest What do you know Europe?
in which students participated from 11 school classes Cartagena institutes, led by their teachers.
The works presented reveal the students' knowledge about Europe in the form of murals, calendars, power points, models, clothes ... etc typical.
and are exposed at the Youth Resource Centre.
The awards ceremony was held in the hall of the Youth Resource Centre and has been assisted by the Director General for Institutional Relations and External Action of the Ministry of the Presidency of the Autonomous Community, Juan Antonio Morales, and Councilman Youth, Javier Herrero.
The prizes for this contest have gone to the course 1 º B IES El Bohio (Best First Cycle) and 4 th year of IES San Isidoro (awarded Second Cycle), plus a special mention for 2 º B IES El Bohio.
The prize is a trip to Valencia to visit the City of Arts and Sciences.
In addition all participants will receive t-shirts and materials for the center.
The Department of Youth has joined the celebration of the events organized by the European Commission and the Member States on the occasion of Europe Day, celebrated on 9 May.
It will be recalled on Saturday opened May 9 at the Plaza Juan XXIII, the Stand in Europe where various activities were developed and counted with the collaboration of four European Space Young volunteers from Turkey, Hungary, Uruguay and Germany .
Among the activities, street animations were made with the game 'star-', a traditional game mode 'snakes and ladders "formed by the EU countries and their capitals, in format canvas 5 x 5 m with dice and tokens giant foam; inflaglobos distributed balloons Europe Day, or animations with the Star pet.
