The gymnast Cartagena Santiago Rodriguez traveled to Asturias this weekend to make history in the Spanish sports since it has achieved the silver medal at the First Men's Gymnastics Championships, hosted by the Royal Spanish Federation of Gymnastics, held in Gijón 9 and 10 May.
Santiago was declared first in the apparatus of rope and clubs and the failure that caused a knot in the tape relegated to second place just two hundredths of its nearest opponent, Ismael Del Valle.
It is a perfect start as this medal has meant an injection of morale to improve and ensure their exercises for the next season that continues to compete in the junior category.
The future of this successful gymnast is expected due to the excellent physical and technical conditions of this boy of 11 years doing battle to excel in the world of rhythmic gymnastics.
In the same competition they won the Senior category Ruben Orihuela.
Accompanied her coach Santiago and Francisca Martínez Anabel Martínez, President of Club Rhythm Cartagena and representatives of the Federation of Gymnastics of the Region of Murcia.
