The Regional Museum of Modern Art (Muram) opens today in Cartagena with 'The Age of Rodin' exhibition that opens its program of major exhibitions.
The sample was presented today by the Director of Fine Arts and Cultural Assets Ujaldón Enrique, who was accompanied by Soumaya Museum director and curator of the exhibition, Alfonso Miranda, and also commissioner Grabiela Huerta.
The exhibition will be inaugurated this evening at 20:00 hours by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, and will remain open until 20 September.
'The Age of Rodin' is a retrospective of the French master Auguste Rodin, the result of "the sum of efforts between the Museo Soumaya, Fundacion Carlos Slim of Mexico, who owns the works, and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism", said Ujaldón.
"This collection of the Museo Soumaya is, after France, the largest in the world of Rodin," he added.
The sample presented in Cartagena is a selection of 300 works that make up the collection and is the first time you're in Europe after passing through San Juan de Puerto Rico, Bogota and Buenos Aires.
The exhibition consists of 54 sculptures in bronze, marble and plaster, including five located in the temporary exhibition hall of the Museum Roman Theatre.
