The new health map will double the number of hospital beds in Cartagena (24/04/2009)

The Minister of Health, María Ángeles Palacios, today presented the City of Cartagena in the reorganization of health care in Cartagena after the inauguration of the new hospital, which will double the number of hospital beds.

Thus, Palacios explained that the new area of Cartagena, Area II, will emerge from the current split in two new ones: the Cartagena (Cartagena, Mazarron, Fuente Alamo and La Union) which will have 276,000 inhabitants, whose hospital shall be the new hospital being built in Cartagena Santa Lucia, and also will feature the Santa Maria del Rosell Hospital, and the new area of Mar Menor, Area VIII (San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar, Los Alcazares and Torre Pacheco), which will have 100,000 people so far belonged to the Cartagena area, and referral hospital which will be the new Hospital del Mar Menor, which is also open in the second half of 2010.

THE ROSELL, SECOND EMERGENCY DOOR
