Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, and the coordinator of archives and public libraries, Cayetano Tornel, presented this morning the new website has been developed for access to public libraries.

As explained by the Coordinator of Archives and Libraries, Cayetano Tornel, the municipal library portal is divided into several sections on the homepage.

The first is authentication, which allows users to browse the catalog or register if not.

To the left is a list of libraries with ability to delve into each one of them, with activities and news, a central part with news, and a series of links.

However, the catalog is the most significant part of this site, which you can navigate a personalized, user being identified or not.

The authenticated user may, in addition to general services such as consulting voted books, news, etc.., See loan history, book reservations, suggestions, opinions ...

In addition, other sections such as services (with reading guides, recommendations, news, procedures), activities and meetings, agenda, news, FAQ's and children's area, which has the same format as the main portal page but with a design adapted to the smallest.

The portal will be updating this daily, with a content management tool similar to the municipal website and technical assistance from the Data Processing Centre (DPC).
