Spanish actress Veronica Forqué stars tonight, starting at 21.30 hours in the Nuevo Teatro Circo Cartagena 'Queen Bee', a play by Charlotte Jones of Britain led by Miguel Narros and for which there are barely fifty Tickets, priced between 18 and 15 euros.
The work focuses on the complexity of the relationship between a mother and her son, in which raw misunderstanding and pain.
The world of beekeeping is mixed with that of theoretical astrophysics, dysfunctional families and interpersonal relationships, topics that are treated with irony and ability to influence playwrights such as Shakespeare and Chekhov.
Forqué plays queen bee and adulterous mother, Miguel Angel Rellán of his lover, Juan Diaz that of his son, a young professor at the University of Cambridge who has not succeeded in nothing and returns to the family home to attend funeral of his father, a biology professor with a passion for bees.
The cast is completed with the presence of Marta Fernández Muro, Juan Carlos Sánchez and Alba Alonso.
The original work of British playwright Charlotte Jones and first premiered in 2001 at the Royal National Theater in London, winning several awards on its way through the English stage.
His performances in the UK and U.S. have many successes.
