The Minister of Universities and Research Company, Salvador Marín, met this week with officials from the plant Navantia Cartagena in the series of meetings is maintained with large companies in the region for employment and regional development.
At the meeting, the directors of the company and the Department discussed the current status and prospects of the company, and the Minister Salvador Marin asked the company to continue the momentum of its industrial plan that guarantees jobs and work facilities in the future.
Also, Marin said Navantia and collaboration between universities and public research centers in the region, and encouraged the company to make "greater use of highly qualified personnel of these agencies, and the various infrastructures, such as the Technology Park or the Science Park to provide the highest quality and excellence to their present and future projects. "
Marin also offered Navantia Policy Murcia government support for the development of actions that contribute to creating wealth and quality jobs in Cartagena and its surrounding district, and assigned the company a specific account manager within the Catchment Plan investment and relationship with the regional administration.
The counselor's meeting with officials from the company completed a tour of the facilities where they could check the work done in the factory in Cartagena.
This meeting is the continuation of contacts held by the Executive Murcia with the works council of Navantia and State Industrial Holdings Company (SEPI).
Last November the Minister Marin was able to SEPI's commitment to ensure the workload of the Cartagena plant until 2016, and the maintenance and enhancement of the center's work after this date.
