Councillor for Sports, Alonso Gomez, along with the president of the Anglers Club of Albacore, Nicholas Mowing, and the honorary president Pedro Ñíguez Soriano, today presented the Fishing Contest XIX Cristo de Medinaceli, the Open VI National Marine Fisheries from a boat anchored, held on 19 April, and the Seventh National Marine Fisheries Open from coast to cast, to be held on 2 and 3 May.
The novelty in this year is that the usual categories (total, youth and disabled child) joins the Third Age, for which it has the support of Councillor Social Care, which has undertaken to communicate the event to the 40 associations of the elderly that exist in the municipality in order to encourage their participation in it, giving it a social as well as sports.
The deadline for fly fishing contest held on Sunday ends tonight, at 8.30 am, being so far enrolled 70 participants from all over Spain (in addition to the Region of Murcia, fishermen will also come Balearic Catalonia, Valencia, Almeria, Madrid and Huelva).
Both tests of the fishing contest is open to national category, with permission from the Spanish Federation of Fishing and Casting, Sports Council and Sports General Directorate of the Region of Murcia.
