About 140 athletes will compete tomorrow Wednesday 8 April at the City of Cartagena Trophy XXIII Athletics, which this year returns to its usual dates.
The testing scheme will be similar to previous years, although several tests have been included for the lower grades: 50 meters at benjamin male and female category, 500 meter dash in juvenile male and female categories, and 1,000 meters at junior class male and female.
In all, 100 tests, 200, 400 and 800 meter dash for men and women, 100 and 110 meter hurdles for women and men respectively; long jump male and female, shot put men and women, and throwing and javelin, the men's.
In this year the budget has been cut to 8,000 euros, with the consequent economic decline in the number of package: 150 euros and a medal for first place, 100 euros and a medal for second place and 50 euros and a medal for the third position.
Among regional athletes participating in this test include José Expósito, Eagles and Absolute Champion of Spain Long Jump, and shot putter Joaquín Millán, Alhama de Murcia, and several Nigerian athletes have good marks in various tests and UCAM Athletics Club athletes Cartagena Trophy organizer.
The tests will begin after 17 pm in municipal athletics track.
