The mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, accompanied by three former mayors of the democratic era, Juan Martínez Simón, Antonio Vallejo and Jose Antonio Alonso, presented Monday to the President of the Autonomous Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, the objectives of the Foundation City of Cartagena.
As stated by the mayor, Valcárcel, who has been offered the chairmanship of the Advisory Board of this organization has been very receptive.
Barreiro also put forward that the Foundation will be presented soon in Madrid, as their work will have an outreach and be for the honorary presidency that was for years head of the Royal Family, Sabino Fernández Campo.
The Foundation will provide a forum for exchanging experiences and knowledge of the former mayors of the city as a democratic era and the current ruler, at all times.
His work will aim to improve governance and the proximity of the institutions and government to citizen.
It will seek to make use of new technologies in the service of citizens.
The mayor pointed out, finally, the fact that the first charge and people of different ideologies come together and work for the interest of Cartagena by the Foundation.
