The president of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, and the Mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, received this afternoon at the Palace Hall the members of the Board of Directors of Iberdrola Renovables, which met for the first time in the region, namely in Cartagena, with the intention of strengthening the bonds of the power company to our region.
The Company has held its Executive Committee and the Governing Council at the headquarters of the Caja de Ahorros de Murcia, IBERDROLA shareholder entity whose president, Carlos Egea, a member of the Board of Directors of IBERDROLA RENEWABLES.
Subsequently, the directors have been received at the Palace Hall by the president and the mayor, and visited the Roman Theatre of Cartagena.
IBERDROLA RENEWABLES is active in the Region of Murcia through the Renewable Energy Company in the Region of Murcia (ERRM), which is the majority owner -50% of capital and which are also present the Savings Murcia, which owns 20%, and several local businessmen.
ERRM is the first regional production of wind energy, with installed capacity of 140 megawatts (MW) wind turbines spread among Los Almendros I and II, Ox, Hawkins I and II and Raves.
This partnership promotes three new parks in the northeast region, the goats, and Zacatín Peppers, which will provide 223 MW of additional wind capacity when they enter service.
The Board of Directors held today IBERDROLA RENEWABLES has seen the resignation of Juan Pedro Hernandez Molto from his post as director of the Company, formalized by a letter dated March 30, 2009.
The Council also agreed to appoint as Directors and Dolores Garrido Santiago Herrera Martínez Pereda in the category of external directors, as belonged to the former judges who replaced: Juan Pedro Hernandez Molto and Marcos Fernández Fermoselle.
