The City of Cartagena will be added on Saturday, March 28, the initiative "Earth Hour", convened by the worldwide NGO WWF in fighting climate change.
In this way, between 20.30 and 21.30 on Saturday, turn off the ornamental lighting of the Town Hall and the Sea Wall and the lighting of the central walkway of the Alameda de San Antón.
It is a gesture that is expected to be followed also by citizens, conscious of the need to take active measures against the threat of climate change.
"Earth Hour 2009" in this sense seeks to mobilize society and remember the important role that can represent millions of citizens, municipalities, businesses and institutions around the world stop using electricity for one hour around the world .
