Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, and the director of COPE in Cartagena, Francisco Minguez, accompanied by Vice President of the Association of Grenadiers Californios, Jose de los Reyes Sanchez Mira, unveiled the fruits of their latest collaboration, editing two CDs of Easter and the last number, the eighth, issue of The Standard, a monograph devoted this year to the figure of Balbino de la Cerra.
In regard to the CD, one of them containing the concert which marked the 75th anniversary of the Grenadiers Californios, offered by the Musical Union Cartagena on 24 February 2007 at the Auditorium of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, with a repertoire of twelve marches, some of them new.
The other compact is a tribute to Antonio Rodriguez Robles, reciting, twenty years after the proclamation given by the poet Rafael Duyos at Easter 1972, also including an introduction to the prayer place, a favorite Robles.
Finally, in its eighth year, the magazine The Banner is presented as a monograph on Balbino de la Cerra, one of the essential concerning the decoration of our processions, embroidery, who lent his designs.
On Thursday 26 March, during the broadcast of the evening COPE Cartagena from the Cultural Hall of the CAM (High Street), will be officially presented three products of interest to the procession and the radio station will deliver, Like every year, the Gold Standard, which this time falls on the figure of Diego Paredes, Sanjuanistas California, who has 50 years as crown marching in processions of Holy Week.
After the program, will be given copies of the magazine and CD of each of which 2,000 units have been published.
