It was late, and just before the Director of ANSE enter to testify (at 13:15) in the Magistrate's Court No. 2 of Cartagena, as a defendant in a complaint "false" filed by one of responsible for Waste Plant in El Gorguel, which has withdrawn the complaint with his attorney.
Most astonishing of the complaint was not only denounce the fact that "burglary" to someone who was photographing the work of revegetation of landfill, but those in charge of the plant (managed by Lhicarsa, a company formed by the City Council Cartagena and Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas) accused the Speaker of ANSE of taking pictures from inside the facility, when they were taken by telephoto lens from outside the fence to protect them.
Photographs taken by ANSE on November 18 and distributed to the media showed a bulldozer making holes in the northern slope of the former landfill Gorguel to proceed further to the planting of vegetation and completion of environmental restoration, presumably had been completed and made at least a couple of years.
Indeed, both service inspections of Nature Protection of the Civil Guard (SEPRONA) and the Autonomous Region, made at the request of the allegations of ANSE, have demonstrated the truth of this and other allegations of the Association on the treatment of Cartagena garbage.
The Association reiterates that "these and other allegations nonsense are not going to intimidate ANSE or its members in their efforts to enforce environmental legislation, and report illegal acts, with officials within and outside government ".
According to information published by the same City of Cartagena on new facilities for treating municipal solid waste landfill closure of rejections of the composting plant in "The Gorguel", co-financed with European Union funds, including planting between 17,900 and 62,527 units of shrub seedlings in a work that was completed in late 2004.
However, contrary to what had been affirmed by both the waste management company, Lhicarsa, for the same Aytmto of Cartagena, there had been the revegetation of the site of the old landfill, which had provided extensive erosion the same areas, making even a breakdown of the slopes on the southeast.
Allegations of ANSE and SEPRONA (Guardia Civil) in previous years had led to the imposition of the Autonomous Region a penalty of € 18,000 against Lhicarsa by poor management of waste and landfill, with a useful life because this mismanagement has been reduced to less than half of the approximately 15 years envisaged for exploitation
