Councilman Via Public Safety and City of Cartagena, Enrique Pérez Abellán, has placed his resignation to the Mayor Pilar Barreiro, thereby assuming full responsibility for the situation that has been generated by the commission for the design of several projects his son, Enrique Pérez Blaya, by the Consistory.
Pérez Abellán, in public hearing, explained that, given the need and urgency to seek professionals to execute the works and projects under the Plan within the period prescribed by the Ministry, suggested the name of his son, Civil Engineer, for the wording of four of these projects.
The council has pointed out that the procedure for the award of these four projects have panned the legality and announced that his son has resigned as president of the neighborhood in Pozo Estrecho, a position he held until now.
After taking all breathe, Pérez Abellán has apologized to the citizens who feel they have not acted properly in this situation.
For his part, spokesman for the Municipal Government Team, Joaquín Segado, has announced that the mayor has collected reports of legal and economic municipal technicians, that guarantee the legality of the process of adjudication.
