Pilar Barreiro Mayor and the Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, accompanied by Director General of Family and Children, Laura Muñoz, inaugurated this morning the CAI 'Guardian Angel' by The Aljorra, which began educational activity on 26 September and has been promoted by the city of Cartagena in agreement with the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration of the CARM.
The CAI 'Guardian Angel' has a total of 94 places for students from kindergarten from 4 to 36 months of age, divided into 6 classes, and currently has occupied 50 per cent capacity, as explained the Minister of Social Policy, Joaquín Bascuñana.
In its commitment to promoting the reconciliation of work and family life provides its services in a wide-slot from 7.30 hours to 20 hours, staffed by a teacher-coordinator, two technicians and an early childhood educator support certification of kindergarten assistant, and its basic schedule of school from 8.30 until 12 pm and from 14 to 16.30 hours.
Room service available and a wide range of extracurricular activities in the afternoon (workshop language, dance, psychomotor, toy library, speech ...) and has the particularity that these services can be extended to boys and girls 3 to 6 years, thus providing more facilities for families with children older.
The cost of this new CAI project amounted to 770,937 euros, including equipment, of which the City has provided the land, valued at 225,667 euros, and the Ministry, the rest.
In this CAI Aljorra joined the other three will be launched within three months, such as CAI and PAI The Albujón La Puebla and La Aparecida, whose launch was awarded by the Governing Board last February and whose signature grant will be in the coming days.

In total, over the next few school years the municipality of Cartagena will feature 784 new beds at a rate of 94 per one of the CAI's (plus 190 of the Private Mediterranean) and 62 seats that can accommodate the PAI's (Points Child Care).
In the municipality of Cartagena from 2006 to 2008, 862 places have been funded by the Ministry, of which 330 are already in service.
PEQUECHEQUE
In addition, the Minister of Social Policy has advanced to the end of this month and may make payment of Pequecheque to all those who have requested it and who meet all the requirements.
