This week has finished the paving and pavement of the road Murcia Door, works that began last February 4 and have finished ahead of schedule.
In total, more than 30,000 pavers placed over an area of 800 square meters (more than a hundred meters) that now should be crowned with the placement of ornamentation and street furniture such as benches and planters, which will be installed before its opening planned for a few weeks before the start of Holy Week.
The next phase will affect the pedestrian area between Plaza Castellini and Icue, but the work of the pedestrian phase will be postponed until after Easter.
However, as the work of this first phase have been completed ahead of schedule, work is moving forward with the continuation of works on the side of the street Quartermaster and installation of power and pipes.
The full project will affect eight streets pedestrian-Puertas de Murcia, Plaza de San Sebastian, Santa Florentina, Conduit Square Castellini, seine, Quartermaster and Villamartin, which have a combined area of 9,500 square meters.
The total amount of 2,132,968 euros project is divided into two annuities, of which 1,200,000 euros are for 2008 and 932,000 euros by 2009.
