The Youth Council of Cartagena and the Youth Red Cross held on Saturday the campaign "If you drive, Yield Glass', an initiative that has managed to unite governments, associations and businesses with a common goal: to raise awareness among young people dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol.
For this purpose, fifty people were on Saturday of Carnival, on the esplanade of Cartagonova stage to show and demonstrate to young people the most traumatic effects of the combination of alcohol and the road.
The direct actions of the campaign were distributed in seven different areas.
The first showed a wrecked car, around which was a mock accident involving Red Cross volunteers, to raise awareness of the protocol to follow in an emergency situation, the following three areas were devoted to Agents Association Night, which made photography to young people who came to the tent set up for this purpose; to checks and alcohol symbolic alcohol drill, where young people could get glasses 'special' and had to overcome obstacles.
In the fourth section is installed the tip drill in which participants were able to experience firsthand the sense of turning 360 degrees, and the next was no evidence of balance and a closed circuit driving skills.
In this room there was also an information desk about the laws in force, the BAC, the Penal Code, the leisure options ...
In this campaign organized by the Youth Council and the Red Cross has participated Cartagena Cartagena City Council, the Special Committee on Security and Justice of the Regional Assembly, Driving San Nicolas, Mapfre Seguros, Automobile Federation of the Region of Murcia City Manager Agents of the Night.
