Minera Sierra Foundation is organizing a new course "Cultural Tourism Guides and ecotourism in the Sierra Minera Cartagena-La Union", with a duration of 108 hours and led to active workers for their expertise as guides to cultural tourism and ecotourism area of the Sierra Minera.
The course will take place in La Union, on the premises of the Foundation in The Machinist Levante, from 5 March to 30 May in time for Thursday and Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.
The course consists of six modules, with topics such as tourism, sustainable development, English and occupational hazards, among others.
The modules are:
MODULE I: TOURISM AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (4 hours)

Overview of tourism in the Region of Murcia and Cartagena area
2.
Tourism strategies in the context of a sustainable development model
MODULE II: RESOURCES AND TOURISM POTENTIAL OF THE SIERRA MINING AND THE REGION OF MURCIA (60 hours)
3.
Environmental and cultural characterization of the Sierra Minera in the context of the Region of Murcia
4.
An introduction to the Sierra Minera.
Cultural heritage: the type and zoning.
5.
Archaeological heritage
6.
The historical heritage - artistic and architectural
7.
Geological heritage - Mineralogical
8.
The historical heritage - industrial and mining
9.
Resources interpretation of the Sierra Mining: Mine The Matildes, Mina Groups Vicenta, mining museum, archaeological and ethnological museums, Huerto Pio.
10.
Natural heritage, environmental and landscape
MODULE III: Techniques and Tools (28 hours)
