The managing director of the Institute for Housing and Land in the Region of Murcia, Jane Brown, visited this morning in Cartagena, councilor of Social Care, Antonio Calderon, publicly owned housing located in the Plaza of Human Rights and Greece Street, which will be rehabilitated in special measures Revitalization Plan for the repair of public housing park (MEND).
In total, 250 homes will be publicly owned located in two buildings with an investment of 400,000 euros and within this year have been procured and implemented, as explained Brown.
These homes have access low-income families under lease, with rent set according to family income.
The Institute of Housing, together with Social Services, provides a list of families that can occupy these houses if any of them is free at some point.
The regional government, through the Housing and Land Institute, signed last November an agreement with the city of Cartagena to carry out priority actions in these homes.

As explained by the councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderon, the actions will be carried out abroad and in the same plaza, where they will demolish the pergolas and will be tailored to give more space to the neighbors.

Fix Plan, promoted by the regional administration, represents an investment of 1.8 million euros that will allow the rehabilitation of more than 900 homes in the municipalities of Cartagena, La Unión, Abarán, Caravaca de la Cruz, Cehegín, Cieza, Molina de Segura and Puerto Lumbreras.
On the other hand, the managing director of the Institute of Housing and Lands has advanced to the 82 housing for young people in St. Lucia are finished and ready to surrender, and General Plan are pending for the construction of other subsidized housing, also in St. Lucia but no age limit to qualify for them.
