A delegation of 26 students of the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Madrid have visited this weekend the city of Cartagena, in particular, the Santa Lucia, the festival of young talents Much More set in May 2009 initiated by the Department of Youth.
The students, accompanied by several teachers and the architect Mauro Bravo, have been invited by the organizers of Mucho Mas Mayo to develop a project of urban intervention in the district of Santa Lucia, who will join the students to develop the School of Architecture Alicante, a neighborhood with its own light, in the vicinity of the Plaza of the Constitution of this neighborhood.
On this occasion, a delegation of students wanted to make a preliminary visit to the city to further develop the right project to the neighborhood.
The students visited on Friday the Roman Theatre and the Palace Hall, a guided tour through the Old Town.
On Saturday the students of the FDI went to the local office of Santa Lucia, where they gave two talks: one by Monica Lavie - Head of Planning Management Planning - a presentation by the district from the point of view urban, and another, by Alfonso Romero - Professor at IES Bastarreche of Santa Lucia.
In conclusion, visited the streets of the neighborhood and the Nautical Club of Santa Lucia.
The Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Madrid is a private university dedicated to design in all its facets: Fashion, Graphic Design, Virtual, Digital, Interior, Industrial and Communications.
In addition to a training school, IED is a cultural institution to disclose the design and its connections with other disciplines such as architecture, art, dance, film, which organizes exhibitions, conferences, meetings and all kinds of events a public and free.
