The Councillor for Sustainable Development, Isaiah Camarzana, along with the director of Repsol in Cartagena, José Francisco Vázquez, participated Saturday in the planting of 27 trees in the area of Alum Sports, capping a series of plantations carried out from the last week in this locality.
With today's performance has planted a total of 130 trees of the species Sofora, tipuanas, jacaranda, turbintos and ficus, which have been placed in gardens of the population.
The plantation is funded by Repsol, with the cooperation of the City, and 170 students have taken part in school alum, students of all ages, as well as planting a tree, have received basic knowledge about the species selected from the hands of Garden City Council leader and received a diploma and a prize.
Both the type of tree as the place where planting has been carried out have been agreed between experts of the City and the Neighborhood Council for lighting, so that it has responded to the real needs of the population.
