Mayor Pilar Barreiro received this morning the women's team table tennis Himoinsa UCAM Cartagena, and their coach, Enrique Pérez Miras, which last January won its tenth Copa de la Reina (two of them owned) and which holds further ten league titles.
The Cartagena Himoinsa UCAM Fotoprix Vic beat 3-2 in a hard fought match held in Collado Mediano (Madrid).
Pérez Miras has indicated that the Cup is a tribute to all the hard work of his players, not just the elite, but the lower grades, where there are several players who have been champions of Spain Under-21.
We are proud to defend the name of Cartagena with positive developments in this case sports, said Pérez Miras.
The coach has said his goal is to win, at least twelve leagues to be the best team in history and are also second in the European Cup, are chasing a dream for many years, although he acknowledges that winning is not easy.
