The next Thursday 5 kicks off 'I Petanque Championship Cartagena City' that the Municipal Institute of Social Services has organized under its program of activities with older people.
The aim of this first championship is to promote the active participation of older persons through the provision of activities and resources as well as to promote relations between the various associations for the elderly.
This championship is expected the participation of 11 teams from different clubs and senior centers in the municipality of Cartagena.
The championship consists of 110 games as a league, most recently on 2 April.
The top 4 teams will play a 'Final Four' of which the two finalists will play the decisive match in June, during the cohabitation organized annually by the Municipal Social Services to all major clubs in the municipality.
