The City of Cartagena has participated, together with the Directorate General of Immigration and Community Volunteer and because of the actions being undertaken in co-development program Tawasol in Morocco, in a working visit with policy makers and technicians, Oujda regions and Youssoufia, where these actions are being developed.
Oujda region is the area of origin of the greater number of Moroccan immigrants living in the Region of Murcia.
A delegation of the Social Care Councillor, Antonio Calderón Rodríguez and technicians of this department, together with the Director General of Immigration and volunteering, Leopoldo Navarro Quiles, and technicians from that direction, with the leaders of the Consortium of Agencies for Comprehensive Care Migrant CEPAIM visited the political authorities and different social groups in the area.
During the visit, held a meeting with the Wali of the Eastern Region, Mohammed Ibrahimi, who was accompanied by the presidents of urban community of Oujda, Regional Investment Director, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the City of Oujda, who explained the lines of development in which projects the future of this region, how it is promoting the development of civil society and the need to establish lines of communication between the two provinces.
It also held another meeting with responsible public institutions among which were the Director of the Office of Training and Employment Promotion., The Director of the National Employment Agency, Regional Managing Director of Culture and Office of Development and Cooperation.
They were also visited the towns of Beni Mathar Air Jerada and which also had contacts with political and social in the area, visiting schools and women's groups, shelters and care of minors, as well as different cooperatives.
Tawasol Program is a performance of the Directorate of Immigration and Volunteer of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, where he participated the City of Cartagena and carrying out the Consortium of Agencies for the Comprehensive Action for Migrants (CEPAIM).
