The City of Cartagena was the scene of Tuesday's briefing convened by the Directorate General for Institutional Relations and External Action of the Presidency and government of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, to make known to all municipalities of the District of Cartagena the project funding opportunities through direct access to European programs.
The meeting, chaired by the Director General for Institutional Relations and External Action, Juan Antonio Morales, attended by political and technical representatives of the municipalities of Cartagena, La Union, Torre Pacheco, San Pedro del Pinatar, Fuente Alamo San Javier and Los Alcazares.
Cartagena City Council was represented by Councillor for Citizen Safety and Public Highway, Enrique Pérez Abellán.
The goal that was convened this meeting, which will be repeated in the near future in other parts of the region, was to publicize the community support programs of interest to municipalities in the areas of fundamental rights and justice, education , youth and culture, employment and social policy, public health, environment and civil protection, information society, energy and regional cooperation.
Also presented new avenues of support and advice from the Directorate General for Institutional Relations and External Action to be provided to Councils in the Region of Murcia on information, partner search, drafting and presentation of projects and implementation of themselves.
