The Local Government Committee today approved a total of 17 construction projects to be funded under the Local Investment Fund, works that will improve infrastructure and facilities in both the old and in the districts and provincial councils, whose total amounts to 11,584,036 euros, an amount that adds up to almost 5 billion euros of works agreed last week.
The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, has been commissioned to make known the list of projects agreed on the governing board meeting this morning, among which, with a budget of 1,985,023 euros, the lighting of the Northern Access to the city with the installation of street lights throughout the route to Las Tejeras, and urbanization of the plot that will house the City of Justice, the closest to the city, where he planned the location of a new Police Station Square bulls and Tourism Qualification Center.
Another outstanding works to be carried out in 2009 will be the ring of the pedestrian turnstile, amounting to 1,750,000 euros, which is scheduled execution in the PERI in the area, a street on the route of Balcones Blue and another parallel to Calle San Vicente López Pinto join the Health Center Old Town.

In districts and county also will spend this year, highlighting the renewal of equipment and services in the village of St. Felix Street between Submarine and Dr. Serrano, supplementing the great work of asphalt under the plan and county districts for the 3 Trail miles measured from the crossing of the barrier until the La Asomada.
The budget is around half a million euros.
Also, we plan to launch a municipal fiber network, for 1,157,538 euros, for monitoring and traffic management.
This network will serve to monitor intersections and roads in the city so that an operator can regulate the traffic lights with the information it receives in real time.
