The Popular Party's national deputy and mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, will participate as speaker in the policy paper on values and principles that will be presented at the First Open Forum of the Popular Party.
Barreiro has already held in Madrid the first preparatory meeting of the document which has been chaired by the secretary general, Maria Dolores de Cospedal.
The Values and Principles document is coordinated by the Deputy Secretary General Javier Arenas and, within it, the mayor of Cartagena is charged with developing the text on coexistence and security.
Alfonso Alonso, deputy spokesman of the popular group in Congress, draw the section on freedom, and Beatriz Elorriaga, write the social progress.
The first open forum of the Popular Party will take place between 23 and 25 January to raise the proposals of the PP to society and get ideas from members, supporters, associations and citizens in general.
Forum topics are divided into six chapters at the forefront of today are the major party leaders and will also cover the structure of Spain, Economics, Social Policy, Foreign Policy and the Environment.
