Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, Councillor of Tourism, Javier Herrero, and managing director of the Museo del Teatro Romano, Elena Ruiz, today presented the Annual Card renewed Friends of Museums, which was founded with the aim of bringing cultural and museum in Cartagena to its inhabitants and its immediate surroundings.
Amiga Card at an annual cost of 30 euros allows free access to all the cultural centers of Cartagena Port of Cultures and the Museo del Teatro Romano.
But it also lets enjoy free cultural activities taking place in these centers.
For Christmas we have designed a family workshop to be held in the classroom teaching of the Theatre Museum.
The workshop aims at knowledge of the Roman city, its architecture, its main buildings etc.

Allows the knowledge of the city from building a model of 63 pieces whose union forms an ideal Roman city walls, necropolis, administrative and religious buildings, entertainment buildings, etc.
The use of the teaching model used to specify all these aspects, creating an ideal city to help us connect the main buildings and their function remains preserved in the city and at the Museum of the Roman Theatre.
In addition the workshop will monitor the initial guidelines for each group to interact with the elements of the model, while the parts we refer to the archaeological remains we have in the city and the museum.
Once the classroom activity will start the tour of the Museum and Roman Theatre, to continue with a visit to the Roman House of Fortune and Decumano.
This is a family activity, aimed at parents to come with their children and know what the city in the days when it was still called New Carthage and spend some time together at the same time acquire, knowledgeable, said Rosario Montero.
The workshop will be held from December 20 to January 11.
Begin at 11 am, the cost of the activity is 5 euros and includes the activity of the workshop plus a visit to the Museo del Teatro Romano, House of Fortune and Decumano.
This activity is free for people who have the card of the Friends of the Museums of Cartagena.
As explained by the Councillor for Tourism, Javier Herrero, the Amigo card will also allow a range of discounts as a reduction of 25% on the catamaran and the tourist bus, 10%, in the purchase of cultural items that sold in stores in Cartagena Port of Cultures and Roman Theatre Museum, or reduced fee for the accompanying card holders.
In addition, all those who made the card between Dec. 22 and Jan. 7, the period of promoting it, are giving away tickets for the sightseeing boat.
