The Information Committee of Finance and Interior, held this morning under the chairmanship of the council of the area, Jose Cabezas, has estimated the claim made by the association of large families, referring to the deadline to apply for the rebate in property tax and documentation submit.
As explained Councilman Jose Cabezas, has agreed to extend the application deadline until March 31, 2009, as it was too short a period initially established until 31 December.
Has also eliminated the obligation to submit with the application, the certificate of registration and receipt of IBI from the family home, as are documents held by the municipal administration.
As you may recall the city of Cartagena in 2009 bonficaciones apply to large families, who reside in homes with assessed value less than 70,000 euros.
For the families of special category will be 90% bonus, the maximum allowed, while large families in the general category will be subsidized 30% of the tax: a bonus which shall be 60% if the family income is less than six times IPREM income indicator (this index is updated year-end, is about 6,000 euros).
In the latter case the applicants, as well as prove that they are large families and the reference category of the real estate must provide a certificate of income.
REDUCTION IN THE BICES
The Finance Committee has also given the green light to a reduction in the rate of property tax special category (BICES).
This is a tax that affects certain energy production companies, and whose initial rate was initially set at 1.3 percent.
As pointed out by Councilman Jose Cabezas, despite rejecting the legal arguments of the companies that had claimed the approval of this tax, the City has made an effort and has agreed to lower the tax rate to 1.1, taking the current situation economic crisis.
