Mayor Pilar Barreiro has signed this morning, along with the mayors of the other 44 municipalities in the region, an agreement with the Autonomous Region of the Special Plan Basic Municipal Infrastructure, which correspond to Cartagena you something more than 2,700,000 euros of a total amount of 21 million euros.
In the case of our city, this agreement is to finance the remodeling of Doctor Luis Street Grille.
It is an intervention project to improve urban services in the area and undertake the renovation of sidewalks, lighting and public spaces.
The overall budget for this renovation is 4,801,000 euros, to be implemented in three annual payments, for which the City will provide the amount of 2,027,000 euros.
This extraordinary item is part of the Revitalization Plan for Strengthening Economic and Employment in the Region of Murcia, launched by the regional government last March in order to cushion the effects of the economic crisis in the region.
With the implementation of the Basic Municipal Infrastructure Plan, the Autonomous Community is working with municipalities in providing municipal services to build new facilities and improve existing infrastructure, such as rehabilitation and construction of buildings and roads, lighting, rural electrification, building gardens, or improvement of sewers, among other actions.
