The Draw for the Casa del Niño de Cartagena began in concluding a December 5, 1918 with the intention to help maintain the child's home.
Ninety years later, the aim of the charity raffle is the employability of people with disabilities or with problems of access to the labor market.
For this reason, and taking advantage of this anniversary, the image of the Children's Home has been renovated to give a new impetus to this lot and get so more people can work.
The councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderon, explained that so far sold a strip of ten coupons to 0.40 cents each.
As is usually used to buy two stamps, the selling format has changed to a strip of five stamps, to 0.80 cents each.
Each issue has awarded a prize of 200 euros, and anterior and posterior approaches 30 euros each, plus 0.80 cents for numbers whose number matches the winning number.
The draw takes place from Monday to Friday at 13.45 hours, organized by the city of Cartagena, and with the participation of only a thousand numbers.
The winning combination is published daily in an official list and the website of the Municipality.
In addition, once a month holds a special lottery for which the coupons cost twice but with the possibility of doubling the usual prize.
The raffle manager beneficial from the Casa del Niño Enrico Bocos, stated that currently sell thousands are brought into strips each day (ten thousands coupons) with a sale of 5,000 coupons daily.
Twenty vendors are responsible for this, having a commitment to sell a minimum of 25 strips a day.
The benefits of the draw will be split between the salaries of these vendors and prizes.
The outlets which can be purchased are: Calle San Fernando, Santa Florentina Street, Duke Street, Serreta street, Plaza de la Merced, Santa Florentina Market and Plaza Juan XXIII, in the center of the city, and in neighborhoods Peral, José María Lapuerta, Sector Estación, Barrio de la Concepción, Mediterranean Urbanization, Slum Slum Four Saints and Our Lady of Charity.
Antonio Calderon has indicated that the potential exists to employ ten people.
