Pilar Barreiro Mayor announced this morning in an interview in the COPE network, creating a foundation of the city of Cartagena for adoption of bylaws will be the next plenary of the Corporation on 22 this month.

Barreiro noted that the Foundation is unique in Spain in its constitution and purpose shall consist of the former mayors of the democratic era of the city and the current mayor.

Cartagena City Foundation will aim to promote and enhance the city outside the Region in all areas and show the city as an example of democratic practice in which mayors from different parties who have been through this City engaged in a a series of joint initiatives to promote democracy in municipalities and knowledge of local administration.

The mayor has announced that the president will honor who was Chief of the Royal House, Sabino Fernández Campo, and civic groups will be represented through their spokesmen.

Barreiro has highlighted the nature of the Foundation, where issues of interest will be proposed for the city regardless of political differences.

The city will notice, as the mayor, calm and democratic renewal since there is unity of all in defense of the city.

Barreiro pointed out that next year is the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of democratic local and Cartagena wants to be an example of this, having always above any political interest, the interest of the city.
