Pilar Barreiro Mayor stated that this meeting will discuss the measures that can be carried out within the competence of the administration for the company for implementation of the commitment of every employer to pay wages to their workers.
Barreiro has stated that at this particular time local and regional governments want to help workers, not the company.
And the company has demonstrated that it has no interest in maintaining an industrial project, while local and regional administration have done everything possible for the Spanish draft of Zinc continues.
The mayor has said that the company is not going to go to Cartagena or harming workers or the city.
They can not make or sell or market to 250 workers in the interest of shareholders, he said.
Barreiro pointed out that the agreement signed two years ago linking the company reclassified gains ground with workers compensation.

For his part, President of the Spanish Committee of the Zinc Company, Juan Paredes, acknowledged that the company is solely responsible for the situation.
Paredes said that most of the staff has already drafted the complaint for unpaid wages.
What we want is that the company explains and demonstrates the path that will follow, whether to carry out the capital increase to go ahead with the industrial project or not, has pointed out, and if it shows we are forced to ask settlement of contracts.
