The historian and scholar Cartagena José María Rubio Paredes has decided to give the City the whole documentary in its possession, the result of research carried out throughout his life, and has given rise to an entire book series and items that were to reveal the history of Cartagena.

This set consists of a bibliographical collection of over 1,000 books on the history of Cartagena, over a hundred folders with papers on his research around the city, some published and unpublished, and numerous copies of copies extracted from historical archives across the country related to the city.

The transfer of this 'treasure' documentary on our history has been approved today by the Governing Board, determining who is the Municipal Archives which is responsible for keeping these funds.
