The long-standing demand of the residents of Los Dolores to have a local police station that covers the entire northwest area of Cartagena is to make this next year with the opening of offices in the small castle of the Marquis de Fuentesol, building located in this neighborhood and its gardens and exterior restoration already been discussed 6 years ago by a school workshop.

For the adequacy of this space as an office of police station, the Governing Board today approved a cooperation agreement whereby the City Council receive a grant of the Autonomous Region in the amount of 375,000 euros, which will be supplemented City contribution for these projects, amounting to 20,861 euros, plus another 100,000 euros to be allocated to the building's exterior packaging.

Thus, the budget of what equipment is only 500,000 euros round headquarters.

The new headquarters will have 25 officers who will serve in the entire northwest of the city, is scheduled to commence its activities for the summer of 2009.
