On December 10 the councilor for the Social Care, Antonio Calderón Rodríguez, representing the Municipal Institute of Social Services City of Cartagena and the director of the Consortium of State Organizations for Immigrants Integral Action (CEPAIM), Juan Antonio Segura Lucas, signed the cooperation agreement with the contribution of our City of 19,000 euros, for immigration.
This agreement arises from the collaboration between the Municipal Social Services and nonprofit institutions in the municipality and the region, in order to support social action programs with the immigrant population, acting a coordinated manner in a common purpose, setting priorities for action in actions contained in the regional plan of immigrant integration and the strategic plan of citizenship and integration.
CEPAIM is a non-governmental civil and non-profit organization, which has among other things, develop, promote, support and develop programs of an educational, social and socio-professional insertion in the treatment and integration of immigrants and refugees as, children, youth, women and families seeking treatment and cross-cultural positive impact on migration generates host societies, as well as social inclusion processes, to facilitate integration and coexistence in the area of the Spanish State, favoring intercultural relationships that facilitate full access to citizenship rights and developing policies to combat all forms of social exclusion.
The agreement includes actions aimed at the immigrant population in terms of reception, participation and awareness, co-development and technical support.
