Cartagena city buses and the lines that connect the municipality with others in the region will be free for every Sunday of the month of December thanks to the second edition of the campaign 'eldíade', launched by the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Public Transport Authority, in collaboration with 45 municipalities in the region and Fenebús Murcia.
This campaign, which was done for the first time in June, will enable thousands of people across the region can travel more than 80 bus lines with regular service, urban and interurban, including all circulating in the municipality of Cartagena and communicating it to other cities and towns in the Region of Murcia.
The campaign aims to encourage public transport use among citizens, providing access to all users.
This measure of free buses coincide with the opening of shopping malls in every Sunday, which will help to attract more people to these areas.
