The Secretary of State for Infrastructure on behalf of the Minister of Public Works puts into service the work of doubling of CT-34 road that provides access to the tailings basin.
The old N-343 (now called the CT-34) runs between the junction of the motorway Murcia - Cartagena motorway Alicante - Cartagena, and tailings basin, over a length of 9.7 kilometers, which moving 10,545 vehicles per day.
The work undertaken by the Ministry of Development have included doubling the previously existing single carriageway between km 0 to km 6 +300, which have become a channel of high capacity of four lanes.
Thus, the CT 34 has four lanes and 9.7 kilometers in length, as the final section, located between the existing roundabouts at km 6 +300 and 9 +700, previously had been duplicated .
