The Department of Women of the City of Cartagena has called the Photography Competition III Women and Photography to celebrate 8 March, International Women's Day and International Peace.
The theme is 'Women from the target' and may occur all the elderly residents in the country who are interested in this topic, pushing the deadline for submitting entries from next Monday until December 1 February 13, 2009.
Photographs must be original and all the works presented, a jury of municipal representatives and industry professionals will choose the winners, having created a first prize of $ 3,000, and three second prizes of 600 euros each.
The winning works will become property of the City of Cartagena and the non-winning will be selected for an exhibition to be held from 6 to 26 March 2009.
In the opening ceremony of the exhibition will proceed to the awards ceremony.
