Throughout this week have taken place in the contest promotional gigs between strings and brass, classical music competition for young musicians in the Region of Murcia organized by the city of Cartagena, with great reception from the public in those localities where concerts have been performed.
The competition between strings and brass not only aims to encourage young people through their participation in it, but also help to enhance their training with various initiatives.
Thus, for the third consecutive year, have made this concert series.
Has given them the opportunity to the winners of last year, to participate as soloists, together with the Cartagena Chamber Orchestra in three concerts that took place, given the regional nature of the contest, in San Javier, Cartagena and Lorca , on Monday, Wednesday and last Thursday.
It is a unique opportunity for our young musicians to enhance their musical training with live performances with a professional orchestra, while it has helped to provide music outside the academic world.
The result was really satisfying because it has been for these young, future professionals, a unique and incomparable to their academic and personal.
The level of interpretation has been very high, since the time of preparation have been throughout his musical life and specifically for these concerts has borne fruit in these auditions, being one of six young virtuosos who have participated in this series .
But the concerts do not end here, but the orchestra, six soloists who have played, has selected three to participate in the climax of this concert series, the upcoming December 20, at 20 am in the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center.
All three have been selected Raquel Díaz Dodge, flute, Francisco Javier Alcaraz León, trumpet, and María Ramírez Marín, violin.
The entrance to the concert will be free to fill seats.
LEON FRANCISCO JAVIER ALCARAZ

Currently pursuing higher studies in trumpet at the Conservatory of Music in Valencia.
At the age of 16 years plays the "Concerto for Two Trumpets" by A.
Vivaldi's Musical Union and Torre-Pacheco accessed as Contributor to the Youth Orchestra of the Region of Murcia.
He has worked with various musical ensembles as the Orchestra FIOJ International 2006 (as tutti) International Orchestra FIOJ 2007 (solo), Oviedo Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Murcia.
MARIA RAMIREZ MARIN
First prize type STRING, Conservatory of Music of Murcia
Ends Intermediate studies with honors.
Currently studying Advanced Level first in the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya.
He has received numerous awards in his career, including second prize in the contest of young performers 'Ruperto Chapi' in the years 2003, 2004, 2005, was a finalist in the contest 'Ruperto Chapi' and 'Between Strings and Metals' .
He has participated as concertmaster in the orchestra of the Liceu and as a partner with the Youth Orchestra of the Region of Murcia.
DIAZ RAQUEL ELUSIVE
First prize WOODWIND mode, Conservatory of Music Lorca
He has taken courses with many prestigious finalists such as Salvador Espasa, Antonio Arias, Fernando Gomez, winner of the contests' Vega Baixa i Baix Vinalopó '(2007) and "Pilar de la Horadada' (2006).
