The mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, accompanied by the Councillor for Sports, Alonso Gómez López, visited the sports complex Mediterranean on his fantastic performance, once the concession-Equidesa-has all the compliments municipal opened to the public.
Barreiro noted that infrastructure is as advanced as needed, which provides services in twelve different disciplines, highlighting two indoor pools and a gym that is what is best in the region, besides being a very important investment for city, and we will continue with this policy to invest in sports facilities.
As we remember the complex has been built on land located in the residential municipal Mediterranean, through a public tender that includes the management and operation for a period of 40 years.
The management company will be responsible for Mediterranean Sports Centre under the supervision of the Sports Department.
The facilities have been designed for about 3,000 users each month, perform different sports, which have special importance of water.
So the center has two indoor pools, along with saunas and steam baths.
It also accommodates a fitness room and a spinning, paddle tennis courts, eight changing rooms and parking.
Today and, bearing in mind that the resort is newly opened, 1,700 users are already enjoying the services offered by these facilities.
