The councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderon has submitted a new planned actions from their area of action within the Municipal Volunteer Program, which is the organization for the first time, the Volunteer Commitment Award 2008, for the recognition of Cartagena organized voluntary action and, specifically, its main actors: the group of volunteers.
For Calderon, voluntary action requires a range of skills that go through solidarity, commitment, selfless work and organization, and this is what you want to highlight by making public a person who excels in each year this area.
The volunteer plays an important role in the diagnosis and social empowerment of the city, which is promoted from the local administration.
In an effort to recognize and encourage turn in organized action, the Municipal Volunteer Program starts this Award, an allegorical representation of an image to be convened annually and given individually to the individual.
The deadline for nominations, which can also be made to third parties, will remain open until December 5, directing the Department of Social Services, Building Milagrosa.
The jury is made up of technicians, specialists and members of voluntary associations of Cartagena, and the prize will be awarded during a ceremony that is scheduled to take place on 12 December.
