Cartagena City Council maintains its effort to get to be the city that host the Mediterranean Games in 2017, as indicated by the Councillor for Sports Alonso Gómez López.

Gómez acknowledges, as the regional administration, which is a difficult time to move forward with a project of this magnitude, but the illusion is maintained and the work done during all these months to get it, he said.

For this reason, the next plenary session will include one of the points of the day the formal request for the creation of the Cartagena 2017 and launch in this way the official candidate.

In addition, Gómez López has noted that the words of general director of Sports, Antonio Peñalver, he understood and hoped that the Community support for this project is complete.
